The VATA Student Affairs Committee’s mission is to educate high school athletic training students from across the Rio Grande Valley about sports-injuries and health related topics vital to his/her growth in athletic training. VATA Student Members are encouraged to continue in the field post-secondary and/or post-undergraduate level, and are informed about the various career opportunities in athletic training. All RGV Athletic Training Students are encouraged to participate in VATA activities like GridIron Heroes during football playoffs, the VATA Student Trainer Workshop, and to apply for a VATA Scholarship.
